WHERE IS THE HAPPINESS
WHERE IS THE HAPPINESS?
Are you putting your happiness on hold?
"I will be happy when I find the love of my life", "I will be happy when I get to go on my vacation", or "I will be happy when I'm retired and can do all the things I want to do?"
We have the habit of putting our happiness into the future instead of being happy with the moment.
We are only promised the moment we are sharing. The "now" is all we have, there are no promises that we will have the next minute. Life can end in a flash and all the things that we have planned will go unfulfilled.
We are surrounded with gifts starting with the gift of life. When we share our gifts (the gift of laughter, the gift of compassion, the gift of listening) we enrich our lives and the lives of those we touch.
Live your life now for now is the life you have.
I would like to share my personal story:
I have a sister, her name is Gaila. A magnificent person who has taught me so much during my life with her.
She was the most caring person I know. She would shop all year long, buying various sizes of blouses, scarves, etc. and then when Christmas came she would spend her time wrapping those gifts and giving them to the half way house for AA. She would give without any thought of being paid back, she gave from her heart.
As wonderful as she was, during the middle of the night she was hit with a stroke and then two years later hit with her second stroke. Now her life consists of having others care for her needs. She lives in a Group Home, watching television as her pass time.
She is no longer living the life that she would choose. She no longer has the ability to drive her car and shop for others, she no longer is the sister that I knew but lives for the day when she can be reunited with her late husband (the love of her life).
She can't take a walk in the warmth of the sun or write the long letters that she used to do.
I tell you this story because my sister helps me to understand the importance of enjoying each day as each day presents itself. To find the gem amongst the rocks and cherish the wonders of each day knowing that there are miracles all around us if we will only take the time to look.
The way we think is the way we live our lives. Think of the various ways you can enjoy your day. Think of how you might enrich a friendship or ways you can make a total stranger feel better about themselves. What you think lives within you and those thoughts spout wings when you give it breath by acting positively toward that thought. Make your thoughts live by doing something kind for yourself and for someone else.
We are all "living books" with its various chapters. Make your next chapter one of love and let that love bathe your heart in happiness. For love and happiness are sisters.
As always I encourage your thoughts, you can email me at cindalmiller@gmail.com
Thank you taking the time to read this and may your happiness shine so that you will always walk in peace.
Love,
Cinda

What Is My Path?
WHAT IS MY PATH?
So many people want to know "What is my path?" "What am I
here to learn?" "What am I suppose to be doing?" "What is my
purpose?"
These questions have plagued man for centuries. Many believe
that their path is to be a healer, or to become involved with a
particular church. To make more money, or to become famous.
There are many paths to enlightenment, but what is
enlightenment?
It is finding the core of who we are. So, our path isn't doing
something or being somewhere, it isn't in the getting of "stuff"
or to have recognition. WE ARE the path, WE ARE
the journey.
We are all on our "personal" journey to experience
life as we need to experience it in order to find the God seed
within us. As is stated in the Bible "BE STILL and know that I
am God." Enlightenment comes from being still not in running
around trying to figure out where we should be or what we
should be doing. It isn't the doing, it is in the resting and
enjoying the peace that is found within, it is the "pearl of great
price".
The main command that Jesus left us is, to love one another. By
loving one another we gain more Love, and in gaining more we
have more Love to share.
When we find that peace and that overwhelming Love, when we
are once again connected to our God source, everything and
anything that the world has to offer will be worthless in
comparison.
We are in search for the God who dwells within each of our
hearts. God has not, and never has left us, He/She has waited
for our return and home is close at hand.
The journey is searching for your Spirit and as you gain more
wisdom, you begin leaving the material world behind. As Jesus
stated "You are in the world, but you are no part of it." They
knew, or, they were being taught, that they were pure Spirit and
that their home was "heaven" which is, being in the vibration of
Love. Jesus was teaching that, as we gain more of the Spirit
we become less involved with the material part of life, realizing
that our true happiness and contentment is within.
We came to this planet in physical form in search for our Spirit,
and to realize that we are all one Spirit, or one Energy and that
we are from and part of One Source.
