What Is The Meaning of Life?

Everyone has their own thoughts pertaining to the meaning of life.  Some feel that it is to become successful as a business person, or to become a famous singer or dancer.  Others believe that it is to become a minister or priest.

There are many things that bring us happiness and a sense of joy and by all means you should follow your heart's desire.

But as we journey through this life there is one purpose that serves for all, and that is to live a life of love, acceptance and forgiveness.  I'm sure you have heard this a million times but hearing and doing are two different things.

How can we show love in our daily lives?  Look for the opportunities to share your kindness.  This can be done with a simple smile or a meaningful "thank you."  To take the time to give a truthful compliment when meeting someone for the first time, "You have a beautiful name,"  or "thank you for helping me, you really did well."  Look for something that you appreciate about that person and let them know.  An unspoken compliment is worthless.  And the spoken compliment will be remembered and will, in most instances, be carried forward as the "rippling effect."

We are so busy trying to make a living or caring for the various situations in our lives that we fail to see how beautiful our friends and neighbors are.  We take them for granted believing that they will be with us forever.  That isn't always the case, unforeseen circumstances befall us all.  Let your loved ones know how you feel and how important they are to you.

I have started writing letters of appreciation to my loved ones, so that they will have in writing the wonderful attributes that I find in them and how I have grown because of them.

Wrap your heart up and give of yourself.  Share your love so that the earth can benefit from your loving and caring energy.  Nothing is ever wasted, and what you give from within, all your good feelings and all your good thoughts will edify not only the recipient it will edify your own Spirit.

The love and caring that you show toward others should not stop there, in fact the number one person to love and care for is yourself.  To forgive yourself of any mistakes you have made in your past, to love yourself for the person that you are and to encourage yourself when life becomes difficult.  Learn to be your own best friend.  Speak kindly to yourself instead of berating yourself for something that you did or didn't do.

We are here to find our love and to express that love and in so doing others will make their own personal journey within.

This week look for opportunities to show kindness, give your heart an exercise in love.

  1. Are people having a problem posting your comments on this blog. Trying to get all the bugs out of this, please bear with me. I have an expert that can help me, but it will probably take a week for him to get out here. Thank you for your patience
